EIMT Switzerland Campus is located in the beautiful town of Cham, Zug, known as one of the most attractive cities in Switzerland. Lying on the northern shore of Lake Zug, northwest of the Canton of Zug, the city has so much to offer, from a high quality of life to a terrific business world. This city is a mini-world in itself. Zug is home to over 100 nationals, giving it an international flavour you hardly experience anywhere else. Surrounded by lakes, mountains and forests, one can enjoy the breathtaking view of the Alpine panorama.

The nearest airport to reach Cham Zug is the Zurich (ZRH) Airport, which is just 30.7 km away. People who like to take the train can also easily reach Cham as its Railway station lies between Luzerne (25 km) and Zurich (32 km), allowing you to reach your Cham quickly within 16 to 20 minutes from both sides.

Sunset here in Zug is a marvel, with ruby-red lights and a kaleidoscope of colours forming over the lake. The historic old town featuring cobblestone and labyrinthine-narrow streets, and pavement cafés dotting the streets, is a different experience altogether. Known for its breathtaking natural landscape characterised by mountains and lakes, Cham, Zug, is an ideal place to live while you continue attaining quality education.

People who love art will find a treasure trove here in Zug, as the city celebrates art, and all the public places boast of countless works of art. The place is magical in winter. Zug still celebrates its age-old festivals like the Cherry Blossom Festival (Chriesisturm), Carnival (Fasnacht) Bull Market (Stieremärt). It is full of diverse celebrations throughout the seasons.

One can truly experience the typical Swiss life, where the locals value sincere and long-lasting friendships. Friendliness, cleanliness and punctuality are the major highlights of the people here in Cham, Zug.

    Awesome Image

Unlike other Swiss towns and cities, Cham, Zug, offers a relatively affordable standard of living. However, students should be aware that the cost of living here is still somewhat higher than in other European countries. This is due to the high standard of living that Switzerland maintains.

Students are therefore advised to budget carefully and take advantage of student discounts available for transport, food, and other services.

    Accommodation Options

There are several affordable options for students in Cham, Zug:

    • Shared Flats: A student may expect to pay around CHF 600 to 1000 per month for a single room in a shared flat.
    • Student Dormitories: These are typically an affordable option with all necessary amenities.
    • On-Campus Accommodation: Some universities offer dormitory-style living on or near the campus, which may be more convenient for students.

    Meals

While eating out can be an exciting way to experience Swiss cuisine, it can also be expensive. A more cost-effective option is to prepare meals at home. Most student housing options come with kitchen facilities, allowing you to cook your meals and save money.

If you're in the mood to explore, you can enjoy eating out and trying the rich, tantalizing Swiss dishes whenever you like. But budgeting for your meals is always a good idea!
