• Transfer credit is evaluated on a case-by-case basis and may not be accepted by EIMT. The students wishing to earn transfer credit at EIMT, should contact the admissions advisors and get confirmation that EIMT will accept the credits before the enrolment agreement is executed. The students will know exactly how many credits will transfer before the enrolment agreement is executed.

  • Please note that EIMT encourages students from across the world to apply for admission in any of the degree programs at EIMT – the courses taken at a few of the associated Colleges are guaranteed transferability of credit to the equivalent degree-level program of study at EIMT.

  • EIMT does not guarantee the transferability of credits earned at EIMT to other educational institutions. The students should contact admissions advisors of any institution where they wish to transfer to determine if the institution is willing to accept credits earned at EIMT before the enrolment agreement is executed.

  • We advise all prospective students to contact an admissions representative/advisor with any questions or for more detail on his / her case of possible transfer of credit.



  • EIMT does not guarantee the transfer of any credit until a student is accepted into a degree program.

  • EIMT accepts transfer credit from both Switzerland and international institutions of higher education.

  • EIMT encourages students from across the world to apply for admission in any of the degree programs at EIMT – the courses taken at Community Colleges in Switzerland are guaranteed transferability of credit to the equivalent degree-level program of study at EIMT.

  • Official transcript of records in a language known to the admissions advisors is required to determine the transferability of credit.



  • Generally, the course needs to be on at least an undergraduate level for undergraduate transfer credits, and a graduate level for graduate transfer credits.

  • All transfer credits are granted on an individual basis. Experienced admissions specialists at EIMT assess the transferability of credit based on the syllabi, and content of the course completed, resp. all other necessary information is required to determine the appropriate equivalency of the course and transferability of credit to the EIMT program of study.

  • In case a decision is made that the applicant can't be granted any credit for the courses taken at other institutions, the applicant is required to provide the admissions advisor with a transcript of records from high school / secondary school and will be accepted into the degree program based on the information provided.

  • EIMT allows transfer credit from both domestic and foreign colleges and universities.



Note: All transfer credits are given on a case-by-case basis. EIMT's experienced admissions professionals evaluate credit transferability based on the syllabi, content of the finished course, and any other information needed to establish the suitable equivalence of the course and credit transferability to an EIMT program of study.


This Policy is effective as of January 1st, 2022, and replaces any previous versions of the Policy.
